Formed in England in the ‘70s, America achieved significant popularity for the trio's close vocal harmonies and light acoustic folk sound. Multi-instrumentalists Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek, and Gerry Beckley debuted their self-titled album in 1971, which produced the transatlantic hits "A Horse with No Name" and "I Need You." In 1974, America came roaring back into the forefront with chart toppers like "Tin Man" and "Lonely People" and again in 1975 with number one singles "Sister Golden Hair" and "Daisy Jane."
