Golden Nugget Lake Charles

Hurricane Laura Update

Golden Nugget Lake Charles is pleased to announce that the casino floor will open to the public at 7am on September 12.

As you know, a few weeks ago, Hurricane Laura caused widespread destruction to Southwest Louisiana. Our team has been working tirelessly to clean and properly prepare the property in anticipation of reopening.  Many of our team members have stayed on property through this process due to their homes being damaged, as well as lack of water and electricity in the area, and I cannot thank them enough for their hard work and dedication.

We also greatly appreciate the first responders that have been working around the clock to restore essential services throughout our community.  With over 700 of these first responders remaining at Golden Nugget, we are proud to partner with them to get the Southwest Louisiana community back on its feet.

With safety as our number one priority, we kindly ask that when you arrive in Lake Charles, you remain on I-10 and I-210 and exit directly at Exit 3 (Golden Nugget Blvd).  This will permit minimal disruption to our first responders as they continue their hard work in surrounding neighborhoods.

As we continue to feed our employees, their families and first responders daily, there are still tens of thousands in our community remain without power or essential resources, and many homes and businesses were destroyed.  If you would like to join in the recovery efforts of Southwest Louisiana, please consider donating or volunteering with the following charities who are providing relief and recovery efforts to those directly impacted in our community by this catastrophic event:
